I specialize in contest prep for first-time and novice competitors.
I began competing in Bodybuilding in 1988, and I began coaching other clients for competition in 1992. Over the past 30+ years, I have coached over 1500 athletes at every level of competition, from True Novice competitors, to State and National Level champions, to IFBB Pros and Natural World Champions.
My favorite part of coaching is helping clients who are new to competing make that first amazing transformation to contest shape. I love using my knowledge gained over 30+ years of coaching to help clients avoid rookie mistakes and bring their best ever physique to the stage the first time.
I have worked with many clients from their first competition, all the way to earning a Pro card. The PhysiqueFX Complete Contest Prep Program is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to bring their best-ever physique to the stage for competition.
I will personally develop a comprehensive contest prep nutrition and training program to bring your best possible physique to the stage. Each contest prep program is designed specifically for each client based on their goals, daily schedule, training and diet history, available equipment, and other individual characteristics.
All PhysiqueFX Complete Contest Prep Programs include:
Personal Metabolic Profile
The Personal Metabolic Profile explains in detail how many calories are required to maintain your current weight, as well as how many calories are required to reach your goals. Your program will be specifically designed for you based on these numbers. There are no calculations that you will need to perform to determine what or when to eat.
Personalized 7-Day Nutrition Plan
You'll receive a 7-day Nutrition Plan that details exactly what to eat and when to eat it for each day of the week. The Nutrition Plan is designed specifically for you based on the information you will provide about your daily schedule, food preferences, your past training and dieting history, and your Personal Metabolic Profile. Your nutrition plan will be designed to provide the right nutrients at the right times during the day, based on your personal schedule and your food preferences, to allow you to bring your best physique to the stage. You will rotate through this plan each week, and I will make any necessary modifications to your plan based on your actual progress toward your goals.
Please note that I do NOT design Keto nutrition plans or nutrition plans specifically based on any other commercially popular diets. I design nutrition programs utilizing all macronutrients and utilizing optimal nutrient timing to provide the right nutrients at the right times to help an individual best reach their personal goals. My preferred nutrition strategy is not vegan, but I can work with vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian clients to successfully achieve their best condition for competition.
The PhysiqueFX Complete Contest Prep Nutrition Plan is NOT simply a plan listing your recommended macros. The Complete Contest Prep Nutrition Plan is a detailed plan based on your individual schedule that lists your individual meals and the specific foods and portions they should include. You will have options between lean protein sources, complex carbs, and healthy fats, but the program lays out the specific times and food options you should eat at each meal to most effectively reach your goals.
The PhysiqueFX Complete Contest Prep Nutrition Plan will not include any foods that are not readily available in common grocery stores. There are no expensive organic or specially raised foods required. You may use organic or grass-fed, free-range, etc., foods if you choose, but these are not required.
When you answer your training program questions, you will detail your food likes and dislikes, as well as any foods that you may have allergies to or other issues with. I will factor this information in when creating your nutrition plan.
Please note that I personally create every nutrition plan for every client. None of my plans are created with AI or created by other individuals. I will create your program for you based on your training program answers.
Personalized Training Program
You'll receive a personalized Training Program designed specifically for you based on your physique and competition division, and built around your schedule and available equipment. Whether you train at home with limited equipment or at a state-of-the-art training facility, I will design a custom program just for you.
I will design your program based on the time that you have available to train. Please note that contest prep does require more time commitment than regular Lifestyle programs.
During contest prep, clients are typically training 6 days per week. PhysiqueFX Contest Prep workouts typically take about 1.5 hours, including resistance training and cardio. Depending on the client and their specific needs, workouts could take more or less time. In some cases, contest prep clients may need to do two workouts per day for some portion of their prep. When necessary, this is usually one cardio-only workout, and one resistance training plus cardio workout. These are purely examples. Each client’s training program will be created for them, based on their specific needs. I will work with you to create a training program that fits into the time you have available to train.
Supplement Consultation and Recommendation
You are not required to purchase any supplements for any of my programs. I do generally recommend the use of a basic Whey Protein of your choice and a branched-chain amino acid ( BCAA) supplement to maximize endurance and recovery, but these are not required if you prefer not to use them. Clients may use plant-based protein if they prefer. I will recommend protein brands that work well with my programs, or clients may select their own preferred brands that meet the supplement recommendations. I will also advise on the continuation and proper use of any supplements a client is already using. If you are interested, I can recommend other effective supplements that could be used to help maximize your results.
I have extensive experience in developing supplement protocols for both natural and enhanced athletes. Depending on your preference, your physique, and your supplementation experience, I will recommend the best possible supplement protocol to help you safely and effectively bring your best physique to the stage. Please note that I do not sell any supplements, and you will never be required to purchase any supplements from me during your program.

- Posing trunk/suit selection for Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, and Men’s Physique
- Preparing for Spray Tan and/or choosing the right tanning products
- What to bring with you to the competition
- Any other questions you have about competing!
Support and Updates During Your Program
I will personally monitor your progress throughout your program and make any necessary adjustments to keep you progressing as planned. Your program will include a form to track certain measurements and stats, and I ask that you provide an update each week on your progress. For contest prep clients, we will also use weekly pictures to monitor your progress. I will assess the information from your updates each week and your progress pictures to monitor your total progress, and I will make any adjustments necessary throughout your prep to keep you progressing as planned. Please note that I will never share any progress photos without expressed prior permission.
There are never any additional charges for support, updates, or consultation during your program. We will use WhatsApp Messenger for our communication. WhatsApp Messenger is a free app that can be used on a phone, tablet, or computer. I only have my active clients in WhatsApp Messenger, so this keeps our communication separate from the other texts, messages, and emails I receive.
I typically prefer to begin contest prep at about 16 weeks out from a show. The actual length of time we will need for prep will depend on the client and their starting condition. Typically, the minimum length of time out from a show that I will begin a prep is 12 weeks.
Adjustments to a client’s contest prep program will be based on their actual progress. There are no predetermined changes that happen weekly or monthly. I will assess each client's individual progress weekly and make any adjustments necessary to keep them progressing as planned.
When you purchase your program, I will send you a list of questions to answer that detail your goals for the program, your daily schedule, including when you wake up, go to bed, your working hours and break times, and your available times to train and eat for each day of the week. I will also ask for your available equipment, training and diet history, supplement use, injuries, and other similar information that will help me create your personalized program.
It generally takes me 4-5 business days to design each program, and I typically schedule each program to begin on a Monday after at least two days off from training. If it will work best for your schedule to begin on a different day of the week, I can design your program accordingly. After I receive your training program answers, I will coordinate with you to confirm the delivery date for your program and your program start date.

The PhysiqueFX Complete Contest Prep Programs are priced at $125 per month for the Online program with 4 Online Live Posing practices, and $150 per month for the Online Program with up to 16 In Person or Online Live Posing practices.
With the Online program, we will do all communication via chat in WhatsApp Messenger. Progress assessment and updates will be based on your weekly check-ins, weight and measurement logs, progress photos and video (if applicable), and other information that you provide.
With the Online program, we will schedule 4 Online Live posing practices during your prep using FaceTime, Zoom, or WhatsApp Video chat (typically 1 per Month). We will also work to perfect your posing using photos and videos from your weekly check-ins.
With the Online Program with up to 16 Live Practices, we will schedule up to 16 Online Live posing practices during your prep using FaceTime, Zoom, or WhatsApp Video chat ( typically 1 per Week). We will also work to perfect your posing using photos and videos from your weekly check-ins. Clients who live in the Tulsa area can schedule some or all of these practices with me in person. Please note, availability for the programs with weekly Live Practices is limited, so please let me know ASAP if you would like to begin one of these programs.
Client Portal
As a client, you will have a payment portal where you can view your upcoming payment schedule, view previous payments, update payment methods, and cancel your program subscription at any time. Your program payment will recur monthly on the date that you originally purchased. For contest prep clients, your program will automatically switch to a PhysiqueFX Contest Prep Offseason Program after your show ($75 per month).
Getting Started
As soon as I see your purchase confirmation, I will send you the training program questions to answer. I will begin your personalized program design as soon as I receive your answers. After I receive your answers, I will also coordinate with you to schedule your program delivery date and your program start date.
